There is just one more presidential debate before Americans cast their vote in the 2016 election, and sitting at home and yelling at your TV won’t be as fun as enjoying the debate with a crowd of like-minded—or not-so-like-minded—friends. Here are a few community watch parties for the final face-off between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
Where: Sie FilmCenter (Henderson’s Lounge), 2510 E. Colfax Ave.
When: Wednesday, October 19 at 7 p.m.
What: DFS is putting on a free community watch party for the debate at the Sie FilmCenter featuring presidential-themed BINGO—guests will mark their bingo cards every time buzz words from the previous debate are spoken. Politically themed drinks like the “We’re Screwed-Driver” (Screw Driver) and the “Hill-arita” (margarita) will also be served along with prizes for free movie tickets and popcorn. Watch, play, and enjoy.
Where: The Irish Snug, 1201 E. Colfax Ave.
When: Wednesday, October 19, 6–9 p.m.
What: DYD are co-hosting a watch party with New Leadership Council, NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado, and Drinking Liberally that will be quite raucous (if it’s anything like their first one, according to DYD president Rebecca Sunshine). The group is encouraging all attendees to bring in their mail-in ballots to fill them out as a group, so you can drink, watch, and vote.
Where/When: The Tavern, 1066 S. Gaylord St. on Wednesday, October 19 at 6:30 p.m.
What: The DRP in conjunction with the Colorado Log Cabin Republicans are hosting a party for the final presidential debate at The Tavern Wash Park. Five dollars at the door will include appetizers (while they last), and there will be plenty of bar stools and flat screen TVs. Chairman Sue Moore hopes the next debate will hold specifics on policy recommendations. Register for the event at their website linked above.
