Top Denver Design: Readers’ Choice Top Home of the Year 2022 Winner
The results are in! We recently asked readers to vote for their favorite home featured in 5280 Home this year in order to crown the first-ever Readers’ Choice Top Home of the Year. After tallying hundreds of votes, we have a winner. Congratulations to Tomecek Studio, Andrea Schumacher Interiors, Ascent Contracting, and the Erickson family, whose modern Bow Mar ranch house—originally featured in our June/July 2022 issue—received the most votes and took home the gold! Decorating with locally sourced goods has become even easier for residents of Park Hill, where Kyndra and Larry Georgeson of design firm Georgeson Style recently opened their brick-and-mortar shop, Kyndred. It’s an extension of the duo’s online boutique that carries a curated selection of ethically sourced goods ranging from vintage furniture to kitchen accessories to gift items—meaning there’s no excuse for Denverites to do all their holiday shopping at big-box retailers this year. 4611 E. 23rd Ave.
Holiday shopping is an errand to relish at this European-ski-village-themed bazaar. Treat your loved ones to locally made gifts (check out Star Lux Jewel’s handcrafted gem jewelry and Broken Forest Co.’s small-batch graphic T-shirts), then treat yourself to live music from the Jingle Belles and a seasonal cocktail from Poka Lola in the Dairy Block’s heated alley. Fridays–Sundays, November 25–December 18
