Step aside, Cronut—the Bay Area’s Third Culture Bakery is coming to Colorado, and its mochi muffins are next in line to break the internet. Denverites will be able to do it for the ’gram (and, more important, the deliciousness) this summer, when Sam Butarbutar and Wenter Shyu debut their first non-California outpost in the Aurora Cultural Arts District. Beyond the shop’s beloved mochi muffins and doughnuts—the glutinous rice-flour base results in a crisp exterior and a dense, chewy center—you can expect to find waffles, custard cakes, and sparkling lychee drinks when the partners, in business and in life, open their doors on East Colfax Avenue.
